Here's a round up of some of the must-visit places to to break your fast this holy month

The Iftar buffet will serve both traditional Middle Eastern dishes and International cuisines. The spread will include an array of choice, from Far Eastern delicacies to European favourites. The restaurant will also serve a sumptuous selection of Arabic dishes, including baba ghanoush, beetroot labneh, muhammara, and other specialities, complemented by fresh juices. Desserts will include a selection of tiramisu, rose crème caramel and assorted Arabic delights.

Aseelah, Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Deira Creek

The hotel's Royal Iftar will be held at the second floor restaurants, and a huge spread is available where guests can choose from an array of delicious dishes.

Thanani Ajman

Azur, Raffles Dubai

The restaurant is serving a sumptuous array of authentic Iftar dishes including hot and cold mezze, fresh salads, lamb ouzi and Arabic mixed grills, as well as dedicated shawarma, manakish, soup and carving stations. For dessert, sample an array of Arabic sweet delicacies including Umm Ali, Kunafa and sticky date pudding. A designated beverage station is serving a range of classic Ramadan juices such as tamarind, qamar al deen and jallab.

Flavours of the world at Royal Continental Hotel

Oasis Restaurant, located in the Royal Continental Hotel, Deira, will offer a daily Iftar buffet with a wide variety of delicious delicacies. 

Guests can start by breaking their fast with dry apricots and Karasya dates and sample authentic Ramadan beverages such as Jallab, Kamrudeen, Tamarind and Sobia, along with fruit juices. For starters, you can choose from cold appetisers such as hummus, babaganoush, green salad, cauliflower salad, vine leaves, and Chicken Caesar salad, among others. Hot appetisers include a selection of kibbeh, mutton samosa, cheese spring rolls, as well as vermicelli soup or cream of mushroom soup.

While the main course includes an array of international as well as local specialities such as lamb ouzi, almond fried fish, shish tawook, steam garden vegetables, paprika potato, among others, which will cater to the taste buds of the whole family.  You can end the meal on a sweet note by sampling desserts such as Umm Ali, assorted French pastries, a mix of Arabic sweets, and fresh fruits.

Enjoy a lavish Iftar buffet at the hotel's Al Hosn Grand Ballroom that has been decorated in the spirit of the month. The offerings include live-cooking stations and a grand dessert buffet. For those looking for Suhoor options, the restaurant's Al Mahatta Lounge is offering a set menu for the whole family to enjoy.

Freedom Pizza

The restaurant is has launched a new deal where you can tuck into one of their newly launched sandwiches with either a Coke Life or a tub of Haagen Daz ice cream for Dh25. Freedom Pizza is renowned for using multigrain pizza dough for the base, and is a perfect choice for those looking for a Vegan, Vegetarian or Gluten free options.

Demoiselle by Galvin, City Walk

This restaurant is offering a specially tailored menu for Iftar that features savoury mezzes, followed by soup and a robust main course platter. Ending the evening on a sweet note, guests are presented a delicious selection of desserts.

They are also hosting Suhoor Tea Nights, an evening rendition of the afternoon tradition. The menu includes highlights such as the crispy flat bread, harissa chicken, yogurt and coriander and toasted sesame beignet with date syrup.

The DIFC Ramadan Majlis is returning this year and is offering a family-friendly feast that offers live cooking stations, authentic dishes and traditional flavours. The highlights include lamb harris, classic cheese shanklish and mixed Lebanese grill, along with a selection of mouth-watering traditional Turkish cuisine. The chefs are also putting a twist on traditional favourites, including the hotel's famous Arabian sushi station, hummus fountain and falafel waffle, alongside a new Arabic Bouza.

The restaurant is offering both Iftar and Suhoor, with a live oud player enhancing the authentic ambience. For the main course they are offering traditional Arabic dishes, such as stuffed chicken with coriander mousse, Arabic mixed grill and Kibbeh Bil Laban and lamb ouzi. Those with a sweet tooth can choose from a variety of desserts such as Amar Al Din pudding, Umm Ali and baklava, as well salted caramel tart and blueberry cheesecake and fresh fruits, among others. Suhoor is served à la carte and features delicious options such as soup, hot and cold mezze and other tasty finger foods including grilled halloumi, falafel platter and fried calamari.

Iftar review: Jood Palace Hotel

With its splendid buffet of delicious delicacies and a sprawling dining area, Jood Palace Hotel is the ideal place for a family Iftar this season. The hotel is hosting a daily Iftar at their lobby throughout the Holy month. 

Upon entering the venue we were greeted to opulent surroundings and experienced the warmth of Arabian hospitality. There is a selection of dates on the table to break fast with and a variety of Ramadan beverages such as Jallab and Tamarind at hand to quench thirst.

The buffet has a wide spread of cold appetisers that includes Greek potato salad, moutabal, muhammara, and more. The highlight is definitely the hummus rainbow that has different varieties such as a melt-in-your-mouth beetroot, tangy red pepper and zesty green basil hummus. The hot appetisers include a range of tasty kibbeh, rice balls made with creamy risotto and crunchy veggie spring rolls, among others.

The venue has Egyptian live stations offering mouth-watering traditional flavours such as Fiteer and Koshari that are cooked in clay pots, along with a shawarma stand, where you can tuck into the popular street food.

Mains include authentic treats such as the flavourful lamb ouzi and the Arabic mix grill that has a selection of grilled chicken and lamb skewers. The fragrant Ananas Murgh Biryani that has pieces of pineapple in the classic dish is an instant hit. International fare such as the velvety macaroni and cheese casserole were a treat for the senses. 

Dessert lovers will love the decadent spread at hand. Everything right from Arabic sweets and red velvet cake to raspberry cream cheese tart makes for a fun end to the feast.
