Ramadan working hours announced for UAE public sector

Dubai - Ramadan working hours will be from 9 am to 2 pm

The working hours for employees at various Ministries and other Federal Authorities will be from 9 am to 2 pm during the Holy Month of Ramadan, according to Circular No. 17 of 2016 issued by the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, FAHR. 
The circular is issued as per Cabinet decision No.13 of 2012 in implementation of Federal Law No.11 of 2008 and its amendments. 
The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources offered sincere greetings to President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Their Highnesses Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates, and the UAE people and the Arab and Islamic Nation, on the occasion of Ramadan.
However, the Ministry of Labour is yet to issue a circular announcing the timing for the private sector.

According to the circular No. 17 for the year 2016, the official work of the ministries and federal agencies during the month of Ramadan starts at 9am and ends at 2pm in the afternoon.
