A total of Dh700,000 is needed for the construction of the new six-room block at the school.

The Pakistan Consulate General in Dubai has donated Dh300,000 from its DSF fund while the remaining Dh400,000 was expected to be raised by the Pakistan community residing in the UAE by July so that construction work could start during the summer vacations.

Mr Larik said that the consulate has already transferred the promised amount to the account which is being managed by a finance committee.

Speaking to Khaleej Times yesterday, Pakistani Consul-General, Amanullah Larik, said that a major portion of the funds due to be transferred to the Development Fund Account of the school had been promised by ARY chairman, Haji Abdul Razzaq.

"I have complete faith and confidence that the funds will be delivered soon so that the construction work can start immediately," he said, adding that all paper work has been completed.
