Several parts of Al Ain received light to heavy rain and hail on Friday, according to weathermen.
Rain started across Al Ain from afternoon and continued late into the evening.
Weather conditions are expected to remain unchanged on Saturday, an official from the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) said.
"We were expecting rainfall over Al Ain and eastern parts on Friday. Surface pressure charts showed low pressure system and temperature in Al Ain was bit high which indicated formation of convective clouds. Also there was high humidity.
From 1.30pm there was cloud formation and cloud movement from Oman to the UAE which led to rain. There was light to heavy rain and some areas were flooded. Hailstones fell in some areas, which are expected at this time of the year," the official said.

Ghashaba, Masakin and Al Hiyar received heavy rainfall. Ice pellets fell over some areas. There was moderate rain over Zakhir and Al Hili in the outer parts of the city. Also Mazyad, Al Dhahir and Um Ghafah in the southern parts of Al Ain City near Oman border experienced light rain.
