Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi Police have urged drivers to follow safe driving practices during foggy weather conditions in the coming days, and reduce their speed to 80kmph.
The police also stressed the need to follow instructions on smart signs, and urged drivers to follow its messages sent via social media, which will aim to help them travel through fog. It also instructed drivers to monitor weather forecasts and be prepared to drive in bad weather conditions.
Sharing today's weather report, the NCM said: "The weather is expected to be fair to partly cloudy in general with temperatures are expected to reach highs of 39°C internally and 38°C on the coastal and islands."
It will get humid at night and Friday early morning over coastal and internal areas with a chance of fog and mist formation.
The maximum humidity would be 70 to 90 per cent across coastal, 70 to 90 per cent in interior regions and between 50 to 70 per cent in the mountains.
The sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in the Oman Sea.
Expect foggy, humid weather until Monday
The NCM also reported that humidity, accompanied with fog and mist, will continue to affect various parts of the country until Monday.
