3 UAE airlines suspend flights to Sudan

Dubai - Etihad Airways suspended the flights on Sunday, June 9.

Etihad Airways has suspended until further notice flights EY632 and EY633 between Abu Dhabi and Khartoum, due to security concerns in the city.

"The safety of guests and airline staff is the highest priority for Etihad Airways, and we continue to monitor the situation closely. Our Guest Response Team is working to support affected guests. For further information, please call the Etihad Airways Contact Centre on +971 600 555 666, or check the status of your flight on our website at etihad.com, or through our mobile app," the airline said in a statement.

Dubai-based carrier's flydubai and Emirates Airlines had also suspended flights to Sudan earlier, following the situation on the ground.
"Due to the situation on the ground, flydubai flights to Khartoum and Port Sudan have been cancelled until 10 June," the airline said in a statement.
