Ajman Police recently launched a manhunt for the burglars who broke into a mosque, pried donation boxes open, and ran away with the cash.
The police were alerted of the situation before the Fajr prayer, prompting them to map out an operation to arrest the culprits.
"We condemn this crime that is clearly an affront to the sanctity of mosques," the police said.
The authorities were confident that the burglars would be nabbed in no time with the help of the cameras installed as part of the 'Ajman A Safe Home' programme.
They called on the public to report any person trying to commit any crime, adding that law violators would be dealt with firmly.
Last year, Ajman Police arrested an Arab suspect in less than two hours for stealing cash from charity boxes located in various parts of the emirate.
