Trio stand trial for drug abuse at apartment in UAE

Three GCC nationals, including a young woman, stood trial in the Fujairah Criminal Court on charges of abusing narcotics.
The trio is also charged with abusing alcohol and 'beautification of sin' by staying together without any legal relationship.
As per court records, the one of the men called the woman and asked her to meet him in a hotel apartment he rented. She went to the apartment, where she met him and another friend - the third defendant.
The trio started abusing hashish. Investigations showed that they also abused narcotic injections.
The anti-narcotic department of the Fujairah Police, alerted about the suspects, kept a surveillance on them and apprehended them red-handed with narcotics and bottles of liquor in their possession.
The case has been adjourned to issue a verdict.
