The case unfolded when the woman approached the Fujairah Police where she lodged a complaint against the man.
In her complaint, she told the police that the defendant intentionally gave her a hard time.
"He kept sending me posts and messages day and night, and round the clock without my asking him and without me being in any relation to him."
She added that the suspect used to send her the annoying messages at early and late hours.
"I so many times woke up due to his annoying posts."
The suspect was summoned by the police and referred to the public prosecution where he admitted to his crime.
He was then referred to the Fujairah Misdemeanour Court where he again admitted to his crime.
"I did not mean to annoy her (the complainant) or give her hard time."
He added that the woman did not ask him to stop sending her these regular posts.
"If I knew she was that annoyed, I would not send the same ever."
