The Public Prosecution in Dubai has referred an Asian gang of eight to the criminal court on charges of allegedly breaking into a warehouse, using weapons, and stealing goods worth more than Dh35,000.
According to the testimony of a police lieutenant, the gang admitted that they had planned and committed the theft.
They gang went to the location in Al Quoz Industrial Area in two separate vehicles and carried out the theft.They then went to another emirate to sell the stolen goods. Another witness also testified that a report was received about the warehouse theft.
The complainant informed that the warehouse doors were locked before end of day, but when it was opened the next day, he discovered that iron bars, sanitary ware and cameras were stolen from the warehouse.
Upon information, the police immediately formed a team to investigate the case. The perpetrators were arrested soon and they confessed to the crime. The gang was in the process of sharing money raised from selling the loot.
Appropriate legal action was taken against against the perpetrators.
