The Ras Al Khaimah Police have nabbed 16 drug dealers of different nationalities in the last five days. The suspects were apprehended red-handed, according to Major-General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of the RAK Police.
"The drug dealers were arrested in collaboration with the anti-narcotics departments in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain," said Maj-Gen Al Nuaimi.

Col Adnan Ali Al Zaabi, director of the anti-narcotics department, RAK Police, said the police were alerted by undercover agents about the suspects' activities. "These suspects were reportedly doing their illegal practices in five different places in the country."
Three teams were formed to investigate the case. "Armed with the legal permissions, the three teams raided the suspects' hideouts and arrested them.
Sixteen drug dealers were nabbed red-handed with the narcotic crystals in their possession, he disclosed. "All the tools they used in their illegal trade were seized as well, while the druggies were referred to the bodies concerned for legal action."
