Mohammed attends new DMI board’s first meeting
His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Wednesday attended part of the first welcoming meeting of the Board of Directors of Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI), chaired by Shaikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the corporation.
Shaikh Maktoum said DMI sought to achieve continuous success at the Arab media level through its various programmes. It followed up the directives by Shaikh Mohammed to implement the discentralisation method in administration in line with the strategy of the Dubai government. Shaikh Maktoum called on employees to fully observe the highest professional standards, and adopt the spirit and norms of teamwork that took into account the UAE traditions and values.
On his part, Sami Al Qamzi, Deputy Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of DMI, said the clear vision of the corporation was based on innovation and quality to keep pace with the strategic objectives of the Dubai government and innovative achievements being attained by the UAE — all these contributing to formulating of a new concept for contemporary TV media.
