Malayalam digital radio to hit airwaves

The world’s first Malayalam digital radio will soon be available on UAE airwaves.

Pravasi Bharathi Broadcasting Corporation FZLLC, newly incorporated under the licensing of Media Zone Authority, Abu Dhabi, declared its official launch on Tuesday. Headquartered in Two four 54, Abu Dhabi, Pravasi Bharathi Broadcasting Corporation has its own studios in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Thiruvananthapuram.

The channel, Pravasi Bharathi 810 AM, Malayalam Digital Radio (Digital Radio Mondiale), aims to reach out to millions of listeners, streaming music, discussions, news, current affairs and entertainment.

Its reach will cover all GCC nations with excellent quality through FM quality in DRM (Digital Radios) and super AM quality in ordinary radios.

Apart from the digital radio platform, Pravasi Bharathi Broadcasting Corporation plans the launch of Gulf Malayalam TV, which will produce television programmes for various channels. Its another venture, Gulf Malayalam weekly will also be launched.-news@khaleejtimes.com
