Isle of Man PM for boosting relations with the UAE

DUBAI — Donald J Gelling, Prime Minister of Isle of Man has said he is looking forward to further strengthening the ties with UAE and Dubai in particular.

Addressing a reception held jointly by the International Business Network and the Government of the Isle of Man, the Prime Minister said he was impressed by the remarkable progress achieved by UAE and was keen on boosting economic cooperation with the Emirate.

Gelling said he was delighted to meet the young and dynamic business leaders of Dubai, including Mohammed A. R. Galadari, chairman of Galadari Group of Companies, and Javed Malik, Chief Executive Officer of International Business Network.

The reception was attended, among others by John Hawkins, the British Consul General in Dubai, John Ashton, CEO of Financial Commission, Isle of Man, and Andrew Smith, director, Business Development, Isle of Man. Also present were consul generals of Turkey and Pakistan.

Gelling who signed agreement with International Financial Centre yesterday morning. Dubai holds promising opportunities for the international business community, he said. He earlier met business leaders in Abu Dhabai, and he will be meeting Dubai Chamber of Commerce Marketing officials tomorrow.

He made a presentation on the business opportunities in the Isle of Man.

The event was coordinated by the International Business Network, on behalf of which Dr. Mansoor Malik welcomed the visiting delegation.
