The performance was staged by secondary school girls in Abu Dhabi. The proceeds of the event will go to charity projects in Iraq.

Shaikha Fatima praised the performance of the students and their loyalty to the UAE leadership who made the prosperity of the country possible.

"The fact that the proceeds of this event will go to our Iraqi brethren through the Red Crescent Society (RCS), is a natural implementation of the humanitarian vision of the President, His Highness Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, pertaining to extending help to those in distress," she said.

Meanwhile, Shaikha Fatima received here on Wednesday night at the Al Bahr Palace, Princess Basma bint Talal, who is currently on a visit to the UAE. During the meeting, they reviewed the activities of women's associations in the UAE and Jordan.

Princess Basma commended the significant role of Shaikha Fatima in enhancing the role of women in the UAE society and her concern on development, environmental and child care issues.
