Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, recently announced the Dubai Fitness Challenge - an initiative that aims to make Dubai the most active city in the world.
The mechanics are simple - commit 30 minutes of physical activity for 30 days.
The Dubai Crown Prince has been challenging several government institutions to take part in the initiative. The Dubai Police, one of the bodies that Hamdan challenged, has accepted it. But the fitness challenge is not limited only to government bodies. In fact, you can also take part in it.
How? Simple. Visit the Dubai Fitness Challenge website and sign up from there by filling up the required information. Individuals, private organisations, government entities and even schools can register for the challenge.

There are a lot of things in store for you if you join in. In an email sent by Dubai Tourism, it's revealed that there will be fun weekend carnivals, FREE workout classes, 75 mobile gyms, and Dh1million worth of prizes to be won! So not only do you get fit, you also stand a chance to win some fabulous prizes - talk about win-win!
