Dubai police made 8-year-old Ali Ibrahim's wish of becoming a police officer come true at Al Muraqqabat Police on Monday, as he posed for an officer at the station for the day.
The young officer experienced the work in a school security patrol and carried a field visit at the station.
The Director of Al Muraqqabat Police Station, Brigadier General Ali Ahmed Abdullah Ghanem said that the station received a request from Al Ahmadiya School regarding the student's wish, and the request was submitted to Major-General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, the commander-in-chief of Dubai Police.
Al Marri directed to fulfil Ali's wish and provided him with a police uniform, as well as organized a tour that included visits to all of the station's departments.

Ali started the day by visiting the office of the station's director, where he made some calls to employees then he visited the meeting rooms. His next stop was at the office of the duty officer, he saw some criminal records, and started his work in the school security patrol.
During the visit, Ali contacted the Command and Control Centre at the General Directorate of Operations of Dubai Police. The employee at the center welcomed the call where Ali expressed his happiness regarding this exciting experience.
The employee said that the police pay great attention to school students through many initiatives launched by the commander-in-chief, such as the school security patrols that carry many field visits to ensure safety, and always hold continuing talks with the parents and teaching staff, and fulfilling Ali's wish was one of the goals of the initiative.
Additionally, Ghanem said that within the initiative, Al Muraqqabat Police station carried out 48 field visits that included 16 schools, and organized 11 sessions that benefited 1804 students during the school year 2018-2019.
