Tiny Dubai radar to catch those ignoring school bus stop sign
Dubai - The violation has a fine of Dh1,000 and 10 black points.
Named 'Bat', the radar -- which can operate on solar energy -- will function with a card equipped with a charger, and will have a 'power bank'.
The radar, equipped with 3D technology, would be remote-controlled.
Director General of Dubai traffic police Brigadier Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei said that the new device will be installed at the beginning of the 'stop' signs in school buses to monitor those who bypass these signals.
Currently, ignoring the stop signs of school buses on roads entails a fine of Dh1,000 and 10 black points.
