Dubai - Nearly 700 top experts will discuss key challenges faced by the world.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Sunday inaugurated the third Annual Meeting of the Global Future Councils.
Bringing together nearly 700 top experts from around the world, participants include top-level politicians, business leaders, civil society leaders and academics with a purpose to generate ideas that contribute to solving the most critical global, regional and industry challenges.
The Dubai Ruler also received Børge Brende, President and Member of the Managing Board of the World Economic Forum (WEF), at Madinat Jumeirah. Brende is participating the 3rd Annual Meeting of the Global Future Councils.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai among other officials and dignitaries also attended the meeting.
Sheikh Mohammed welcomed Brende to Dubai, lauded the strategic partnership between World Economic Forum and the Global Future Councils, which will have a positive impact on shaping the agenda for the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2019 in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland, as well as the Forum's ongoing global initiatives.
Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and the Future of the United Arab Emirates, gave a welcome address at the event.
The leaders from the public and private will discuss key challenges faced by the world such as job creations, challenges of the new age technologies and 4th Industrial Revolution during the two-day conference. Comprising 38 distinct councils, the community of Global Future Councils covers subject areas as diverse as the global financial system, geopolitics, cities and urbanization, cybersecurity and the bio-economy.
