Dubai has a group of private islands just off its coast - these are called the World Islands. The place got its name from being an archipelago that looks like the world map from the sky. One of the islands in the group - Lebanon - is the first to be fully constructed and remains the sole island that guests can visit. You can also purchase the island for yourself - provided you have a fat wallet that is.
The 419,000-square feet private island has been listed for sale by real estate firm Allsopp & Allsopp. If you're in the market for some luxury property, this's the one that takes the cake.
For a bargain-bin price of Dh80 million, you could be given the keys to the whole Lebanon island. According to Allsopp & Allsopp's website, Lebanon is the first island to be fully built and operational. The island boasts an 80-seater restaurant, an events area, VIP Cabanas, two beaches, several small villas and swimming pool that can fit 250 persons. On top of all that, you get majestic views of the Dubai skyline. You can also park your yacht (purchased separately) on the jetty, which doubles as the entrance to the island home.
Currently, the island is being used as a beach club and events space.
