This was stated by Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“The released UAE national is in good health,” Al Hamed added.

The Ministry takes this occasion to reiterate the need for nationals to maintain communications with the Ministry, and to observe its warnings about travelling to places it considers as dangerous, whether for tourism or for hunting.

Al Hamed thanked the Iraqi authorities for the sincere efforts they had made for the release of the Emirati national.

He emphasised the need for registering for the Tawajudi (Arabic for my presence) service for Emiratis on MoFA’s online portal at www.mofa.gov.ae.
