Abu Dhabi's Yas Mall reopens after temporary evacuation

An alarm on Tuesday morning triggered the evacuation.

Abu Dhabi's Yas Mall has reopened after it was evacuated on Tuesday, the first day of Eid Al Fitr.
Abu Dhabi Media office confirmed in a tweet that the mall was temporarily evacuated keeping the safety of their visitors and employees in mind.
An alarm went off in Yas Mall triggering the temporary evacuation of the premises. After safety measures, the mall has now been reopened.

Earlier this morning an alarm went off in Yas Mall and we asked customers and staff to temporarily vacate the premises. The Mall is now open and we apologise for any inconvenience.

Tweets by shoppers in the past couple of hours confirmed that the mall was evacuated on Tuesday morning and police had cordoned off the area around it.  
Multiple tweets followed on the platform from UAE residents who were stuck during evacuation.  

Friends who are visiting #yasmall Abu dhabi, it has been currently evacuated and will remain closed until this afternoon. Hoping everyone at the mall is safe.

Another Twitter user warned shoppers to avoid going to the mall as it might be closed at least till afternoon.
