KathNiel confirmed for PangakoSa’yo, New Year’s Show

Hot teen tandem Kathryn Bernardo and Danile Padilla are confirmed to star on the much-awaited remake of the ABS-CBN soap opera PangakoSa ‘Yo. The development was announced during the network’s trade event and was reported in the late night talk show Aquino &Abunda Tonight on Tuesday.
The show is slated to air next year.
Joining Daniel and Kathryn are Angelica Panganiban and Jodi Sta. Maria, who will play the roles of Claudia Buenavista and Amor Powers, respectively. Rumours that Daniel and Kathryn will lead the PangakoSa ‘Yo remake surfaced last August. The stars did not confirm the earlier reports but expressed excitement in the project.
PangakoSa ‘Yo, which originally aired on ABS-CBN from 2000 to 2002, starred Jericho Rosales and Kristine Hermosa.
Padilla and Bernardo are also set to perform live in Dubai for the first time on New Year’s day, January 1 at the Sheikh Rashid Auditorium of the Indian High School.
