Emirates Airline has suspended flights EK 733 and EK 734 scheduled to leave today between Khartoum and Dubai.
In a statement issued today, the airlines said that the decision came following current political unrest, that has left at least 13 protesters dead.
Emirates spokesperson said, "Due to political unrest in Sudan, Emirates flights EK 733 and EK 734 on June 3 between Khartoum and Dubai are suspended. Affected passengers are requested to contact their booking agent or Emirates reservations to rebook their flights or make alternative travel arrangements. We are monitoring the situation closely and will update our customers as the situation develops. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused to our customers. The safety of our passengers and crew is of the utmost importance and will not be compromised."
