In a day where scoring was extremely tough, thanks largely to the heat and the thickness of the rough, Norrie finished in pole position with a level score of 36 points, something he admitted didn’t think would be enough for that winning prize. Finishing a further 3 points adrift was regular winner Vivien Verma, a great back nine of 19 points made up for a disappointing front 9 of only 14, with four actual gross pars the highlight over the last 9 holes.

Third spot was a close affair with two golfers tying level, but as virtue of a scorecard countback it was Abdul Hakeem who claimed the prize ahead of new member Phil Cornish.
