Warsaw — UAE Economy Minister Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri has discussed with the Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Janusz Piechocinski, the need to implement the resolutions of the second meeting of the Joint Economic Committee, held in April in Abu Dhabi, with the aim to boost investment, increase trade exchange and cooperation in the areas of technology and research in a way that serves the innovation strategy.
The meeting, held on the sidelines of the visit by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, was attended by Mohammed Ali Alabbar, Chairman of Emaar, Asim Mirza Al Rahma, UAE Ambassador to Poland, and Adam Krzymowski, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the UAE.
They discussed ways to upgrade the joint economic cooperation in all fields and explore the potential of both countries to strengthen cooperation in major sectors, especially in areas of infrastructure, trade, industry, renewable energy, agriculture, SME projects and innovation.
Al Mansouri commended the visit of the UAE Vice President to Poland, which reflects the interest of the two countries to strengthen relations and boost development in both countries.
He further added that in line with economic openness and diversification policies, the UAE leadership is keen to strengthen relations with all countries, especially in the areas of economy, trade and investment in the best interest of all parties.
On his part, the Polish Deputy PM stressed the importance of Shaikh Mohammed’s visit to Poland, adding that the visit would further strengthen the economic relations between the two countries. He added that his recent visit to the UAE gave him first hand information about investment opportunities in the UAE. — Wam
