Nakheel inks Dh46m contracts
Nakheel has officially signed design and engineering contracts worth Dh46 million for two major developments in its project pipeline — the Deira Islands Mall and Palm West Beach.
The deals, inked with RSP Architects, Planners and Engineers, include a Dh40 million contract for a 620,000sqm retail, dining and entertainment hub at Deira Islands, Nakheel’s new 15.3 square kilometre waterfront city in Dubai. The contract award was announced in June. The second contract, worth almost Dh6 million, is for the Palm West Beach, Nakheel’s new 1.5 kilometre beachside park, dining and entertainment complex to be built on Palm Jumeirah’s western trunk. Tenders for the construction of both projects are expected to be released before the end of 2014.
