EDC Launches New Directory, Sees More Growth
DUBAI - The Dubai Export Development Corporation (EDC) has unveiled the first Exports and Industry Directory harmonised with HS code system, to provide buyers an easy access to information on UAE industries, their product, industrial legislations and laws.
Available both online and hardcopy, English and Arabic version, and in CD format, will be available on special website: www.exportdirectory.ae.
The first edition of the directory will be ready in May, 2009, followed by second edition in 2011.Speaking to Khaleej Times Al Awadi said: The directory is aimed to streamline all the data on Industrial sector. “All the data included in the directory, is based on the filed survey and approved by the managers of the companies to avoid any errors or misinformation about the company.”
He said: “We are anticipating more growth this year. “Though the financial situation around the globe is not very conducive but last few years have shown increase in volume of the export. In 2008 the total export growth was increased from at 27 per cent to 46 per cent,” he said.
