The column, Alexa, Siri can you do my homework for me? (KT, Oct 25) made some interesting observations. The dependence on technology and the internet to complete the homework has become an easy option. The joy of figuring out the answers and the process of arriving at the right solutions have diminished. Imaginative and creative self-expression has taken a back seat. Cliched and stereotyped responses that are repetitive and monotonous have become common. There is no pleasure of self-discovery and this has impacted the holistic growth of children.
