Waste dumping ground

Sharjah is home to sky-high residential towers with most of the towers consisting of over 15 floors. Ideally, every building in Sharjah, especially towers, should have a helideck.

In cases of emergencies, people can be air-lifted and without a proper heliport, this is absolutely impossible. Moreover, I have witnessed heliports of various buildings being used as a waste dumping ground. My neighbouring residential towers’ helipads, unfortunately, are littered with old furniture, junk and used mattresses.

The heliports should be kept clean and litter-free at all times because disasters can occur any moment. For instance, during a fire incident, people will not have the time to clear up the mess on the heliports.

The management and owners of these buildings should ensure that these helicopter landing ports are not used as waste dumping grounds and are kept clear at all times so innocent lives can be rescued in case of emergencies.
