The Delhi verdict is the result of the hike in the prices of essential commodities, corruption, and atrocities on women. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal could take advantage of this anger. But since neither it nor the Bharatiya Janata Party got majority, in order to avoid an immediate election, which will be a burden on the exchequer, the Congress should extend unconditional support to the AAP and let them try and perform.

Rajasthan is a great loss to the Congress while Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh had stable governments with no anti-incumbency factor. The Congress victory in Mizoram is very important as a border state went to a national party instead of a regional one.
