The role of mothers

A mother's presence is taken for granted and her role in keeping the family together is ignored often times (How mothers keep families together, Oct 8). But it is the mother who ties the loose ends sometimes in subtle ways and sometimes through emotional blackmail saying they do not have much time left to ensure the family sticks together. Be with her as much as possible, for she is an inevitable component in many happy families.
