The menace of advertising through business cards

One morning, when I went to take out my car from the open parking lot of my building, there was a business card partially inserted between the driver side window and the rubber lining at its base.

I saw the card only after switching the ignition on. Usually such cards are placed by beauty parlours, karate centres, newly opened grocery shops and restaurants. While my car’s engine was warming up, I became curious to know what the card was all about. But it was raining and hence I could not open the door. So I lowered the glass slightly with the idea of stretching my hand through the upper portion of the window to grab the card. But alas, it fell down inside the door panel when I lowered the glass! In spite of my raising the glass back to its original position, the card did not come up with it.

It seems to be permanently stuck inside and now there is a possibility that the water-soaked card may obstruct the mechanism for raising and lowering the glass and damage its functioning. So I am writing this to warn readers to be careful on such occasions. It would be best if the authorities ban the placing of unsolicited cards or flyers to save the public from unnecessary headaches.
