This has reference to the editorial, 'Pakistan's terror war has a long way to go' (KT, September 20). It is imperative that the world recognises Pakistan as a victim of the US-led war on terror and ultimately an unfortunate inheritor of the war's consequences. Pakistan had to tackle and contain the spreading terror on several fronts. The eradication of all terror-related groups, whether homegrown or foreign-infiltrated is a priority. The military operation has only just begun and its effectiveness is apparent, as the frequency and intensity of the terror-related attacks have lessened. The operation still has a long way to go, but its effectiveness and commitment cannot be understated.
