Few days back

I read your column about the rehabilitation of amputated
victims in Afghanistan. The victim could be either a terrorist or an innocent common man, but the ultimate sufferer is the individual and his society.

The person has to spend rest of his life with the support of artificial leg/hand or with crutches.
All the sufferings are resultant of an endless war being waged by the vested parties for
reasons beyond common man’s
understanding. It may not take more than a minute for a person to do a self introspection to visualise the aftermaths of
the war before partaking in terrorist activity and definitely retract himself to the path of peace if do so.
Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luthur King have shown this world the essence of peace achieved through nonviolence. Probably, if Afghan government display the pictures of the people’s suffering in all the possible media and changes a single person mind, it would be a great achievement.
