The opinion article 'Delhi winner Kejriwal emerges as Modi's biggest challenger' (KT, Feb 12) had a good analysis of the Delhi election result. Delhi has voted for development, and disregarded the religious and communal politics of the opposition parties. It is good for democracy and a lesson that elections should be fought on positive agendas. Negative and smear campaigns do not fare well in comparison with good governance.
Congress has to set its house in order in Delhi. It should let the young take over and allow them to resuscitate it. It is also important that all opposition parties should try to defeat the negative and communal agenda which is not good for India in the long run.
