3-year-old left alone by mother to reserve parking spot on a hot day

The child had to wait for about an hour and a half in sweltering heat for his mother to return.

A mother has been criticised for leaving her three-year-old son alone in the parking lot to reserve a place for her.
Surprised passers-by stopped to take pictures of the kid sitting alone in the centre of Kuala Lampur in Malaysia, DailyMail reported. 
Leaving the child alone on a sweltering hot day could have turned fatal. 
Assuming he was lost, few drivers sought to help him by asking about his whereabouts. It comes as a rude shock to them when the child said he was ordered to sit there by his mother, reserving a parking spot, till she is back. 
The picture went viral on social media and caused much outrage. The child is said to have waited for almost an hour and a half before his mother came back.
