It is widely considered that Goa, India, is the spiritual home of Trance music but over the last six years one event has been truly pushing the boundaries.

Keeping the current trends alive by delivering the biggest DJs of the electronic dance music genre, Sunburn - Asia’s largest electronic music festival - is making its way to Dubai’s shores with none other than legendary DJ Tiësto headlining the affair.

Dubai will witness the Sunburn arena format on March 28 at the Dubai World Trade Centre in what promises to be a ravers’ paradise with thousands expected to attend. Tiësto needs little introduction; he’s a performer who has transcended musical genres to create a global “Tiësto” brand. His achievements include a Grammy nomination, numerous MTV awards, performing at the opening ceremony of the 2004 Athens Olympic Games to an audience of billions, and even a wax statue at Madame Tussaud’s. With his globally syndicated Club Life radio show as well as his Club Life iTunes artist podcast (#1 music podcast globally), Tiësto has truly become a universal phenomenon. Voted ‘The Greatest DJ Of All Time’ by Mixmag in 2011, Tiësto has worked with superstars such as Kanye West, Coldplay, Katy Perry, Nelly Furtado, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Goldfrapp and many more.
