Ekotumi, a renowned singer, songwriter and storyteller of Japanese mythology, is set to be featured at the Middle East ANI:CON in Abu Dhabi.

During her performance, Ekotumi will revisit the traditional poems of the Kojiki, an ancient Japanese book about the country's mythology, bringing her unique modern take to this classic mythology.

Guests will be able to enjoy the performance at the Japanese Pavilion, Miyabi, on Thursday, October 25 at 4pm, Friday at 2.45pm, and Saturday at 6.30pm.

Ekotumi combines the traditional Japanese Kojiki with a unique blend of modern Japanese pop music. This personal and energetic interpretation of the Kojiki has been critically acclaimed and recognized as one of her most accomplished works of art.

Ekotumi has performed for audiences across the world, including the Japan Expo in 2018 (Paris), the Anifes in 2018 (Switzerland), and was selected for Women Cinemakers Biennial 2018, Berlin. Ekotumi has also given the opening performance at World Art Dubai in 2017.
