THE AFLAM FILM Club presents its latest free screening - A 7 Hour Difference - on Wednesday, August 29.
The movie by Deema Amr sees protagonist Dalia has returned home to Amman from the United States to join the festivities leading up to her sister’s wedding.
But the celebrations go awry when her secret long-term American boyfriend Jason shows up unexpectedly to propose.
A 7 Hour Difference will screen from 8pm at VOX Cinemas, Marina Mall Abu Dhabi, with the networking lounge opening an hour beforehand.
The short film C’est La Vie’ by Ihab Mokayed will also screen beforehand.
The Aflam Film Club was launched in early 2012 by Emirati filmmaker Nayla Al Khaja (pictured above right), aiming to showcase the best of Arabic independent cinema.
