Eating out, poor hand hygiene and erratic weather may be among causes, say medics
“During my first trip to Dubai ten years ago, I was truly scared by the desert, but now I’m impressed with the huge progress and development which has been witnessed by this fast growing city,” the top French rider told Khaleej Times at the Meydan Hotel on Thursday. Miletto made her first appearance in the Dubai races at Seih Assalam Endurance Village when she was a teenager. The place was no more than an isolated small facility constructed of cottages and surrounded by the desert sands.
“Today everything looks difference. The new Meydan Racecourse is fantastic and hopefully one day I will be able to send one of my horses to race in Dubai,” she said.
When asked whether she has any plans to acquire flat race horses, the young lady didn’t rule out the option.
“Probably I may buy an Arabian horse and send it for racing in Europe and elsewhere and in this case Dubai will be the first choice outside the old continent,” she said.
From her home town Ntmes in Southern France, Miletto used to tour the world long with her husband. And Dubai became one of the most important destinations for them. However, Miletto is still looking forward to make her mark in the Dubai races and conquer the desert for the first time in four attempts.
