The six-year-old ex-Godolphin runner was not fancied to battle against the Group-1 more experienced horses including globe trotter Presvis and the Hong Kong-based Good Baba.
However, once again the American horses failed to prove their worth on turf and finished well back behind the winner.
Presvis broke very badly and did nothing to prove throughout the 1800 metres trip to finish more than seven lengths eleventh. Good Baba was poor seventh and the Godolphin runners Alexandros and Justenuffhumor were 14th and 15th respectively as Tam Lin tailed off the field.
