Majid leads UAE Land Rover Parade

Shaikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, led a parade of several Land Rovers from Nad Al Sheba passing through the 2nd December Street, Union House, Jumeirah Road and Al Hadiqa Road as part of the second UAE Annual Land Rover Show that concluded in Dubai on Saturday.

The Land Rover parade stopped at the Union House for group photos with Shaikh Majid, who also attended the Classic Car Show and stalls at the event and met the owners of the Land Rover vehicles.

The event is supported by the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, Jaguar Land Rover Mena and is sponsored by Gulf Trading and Development Establishment, to celebrate the unveiling of the newly launched Range Rover 2013 inviting all Land Rover owners, both classic and new, from 1951 to 2013 to participate.

The Sharjah Museum for Classic Cars participated with two classic Land Rovers from the private collection of His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, from the years 1969 and 1978.

The Dubai Police and the Civil Defence Department in Dubai helped raise awareness about traffic safety during the show and explained to the visitors how the mobile radar devices work.

Also the Boston Diabetes and Endocrine Centre in Dubai helped raise awareness about diabetes during the show.

Blood sugar levels and blood pressure tests were being conducted by the centre for interested visitors, in addition to free medical and dietary advice.
