Onam celebrations by AKCAF
DUBAI - The All Kerala Colleges Alumni Forum (AKCAF), UAE, is set to celebrate Onam 2004 through a grandiose celebration bringing together more than 2,500 families.
This year, the AKCAF Onam, representing college students from more than 40 renowned institutions in Kerala, will be organised by Baselian, the UAE chapter of the Alumni Association of Baselius College, Kottayam Kerala, said John E. John, President of AKCAF.
The two-day festival will commence with Athapookallam 2004 - a competitive display of colourful floral carpet designs presented by AKCAF member colleges to be held between 3.00pm and 8.00pm on September 2 at the Millennium High School, Dubai.
Baselian AKCAF 2004 will be held at the Renaissance Hotel on September 3 at 11.30am with a sumptuous Onasadhya followed by a six-hour-long breathtaking showcase of cultural programmes.
On the cards are soul-stirring memories and captivating dances by talented AKCAF members and hilarious mimicry and skits by Cinemala fame artistes.
The Baselian AKCAF Onam 2004 is being sponsored by KIA in association with NDDS and co-sponsored by Al Alali, Federal Foods Dubai and Western Union Money Transfer.v
