Canadian wins Dh1 million in ADDF raffle

ABU DHABI Brian Gregory, a Canadian national, turned richer by a million dirhams, as he emerged winner in the latest grand raffle draw of Abu Dhabi Duty Free (ADDF) Be A Millionaire raffle, which was held in the capital on Wednesday.

Mr Gregory, who works as a drilling supervisor for Saudi Aramco in Dhahran, bought the ticket bearing number 1363 while on transit at the Abu Dhabi International Airport, on way to Malaysia.

The five winners of Dh100,000 raffles are Anand Rajan Thottathil, Ahmed Kunju Mishab (both Indians), Raymundo Basco Natividad, Lucia Villanueva Ortega (both Filipinos) and Douglas John Foster, American.


The raffles have gained in popularity with a total number of almost 600 raffles held so far, generating total winnings of over Dh300 million, said Mohamed Mounib, ADDF Managing Director.

The draw was conducted by Abdullah Abbad Al Hameli, Assistant Under-Secretary of the Department of Civil Aviation, Hani Gress, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain Duty Free Manager, and Mr Mounib.
