Mohammed to head UAE delegation to Gulf Consultative Summit

The President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan received today at the Bateen Palace, UAE Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah His Highness Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi,

in the presence of General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.

The President assigned Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid to lead the UAE delegation to the GCC consultative summit that begins tomorrow in Riyadh.

Sheikh Khalifa expressed hope that the summit,with the participation of the GCC leaders, will achieve the objectives the people of GCC states aspire, for furthering cooperation and harmony, and thus emphasising the role of GCC on the regional and international levels.

The President said that the periodic meetings and consultations of the GCC leaders had profound impact on the progress of the Council’s march, adding that the forthcoming session under the chairmanship of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia is a new and important step in strengthening the blessed march of the Gulf states.

The meeting was attended by Shaikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region, Shaikh Tahnoon Bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Eastern Region, Shaikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor, Shaikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Representative of the Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Lt. General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister, Shaikh Tahnoon Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Presidential Flight, Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Shaikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Court of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi , Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, Shaikh Dr. Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Advisor to President, Shaikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Member of the Executive Council, Dr. Sheikh Saeed bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Public Works, Shaikh Ahmed bin Saif Al Nahyan, Shaikh Hazza bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Chairman at the Diwan of the Ruler’s Representative in the Eastern Region, and a number of ministers and senior state officials.
