Mohammed bin Rashid receives heads of Dubai Departments

Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum received today at the Ruler’s Court in the presence of Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Shaikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy ruler of Dubai, heads of the departments and authorities in Dubai.

Shaikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group, Shaikh Hasher bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, Director of Dubai Information and Lt General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police and Mohammad Ebrahim Al Shaibani, Director General of the Dubai Ruler’s Court were also in attendance.

Shaikh Mohammed on the occasion stressed for further improving government performance and enhancing the public services to the highest level and should look forward in order to make the country one of the most developed nations in the world.

VP said the so-called financial and economic crises, are rather a test for us to further strive as innovation comes out from crises and it generates creative initiatives. “You are required to launch new initiatives which would contribute in achieving further development and progress at all levels, we should not say enough,” he added.

He also referred to the importance of time and making good use of the available opportunities in all fields.

He stressed on providing legal and logistics facilities in local departments and doing away with red-tapism in offices reiterating his call for officials to see themselves the deficiencies at their departments and handling them with team work.

He cited to the initiatives of Department of Naturalisation and Residency Dubai (DNRD), Dubai Police, Dubai Municipality Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) which he described as “renewable” since these departments have launch initiatives from time to time and they are also constructive and have served the country and the citizens.

He directed them the importance of receiving UAE guests with smile particularly at the airport, streets , hotel and the taxis as well as welcoming statements which reflects the spirit of generosity and the deep rooted Arab morals which are the hallmark of our society.

VP also called for enhancing cooperation and coordination among all local departments and authorities.
