Law on Dubai School of Government issued

In his capacity as the Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, has issued a law on the Dubai School of Government.

The law outlines the objectives and functions of the school. The school will be a non-profit educational, training and research institution, and will aim at boosting the government management, public administration and upgrade their related studies in the emirate.

It will also try to boost the efficiency of Dubai government employees and prepare them in terms of scientific and practical aspects. It also aims at identifying the concepts of government management, and general policies required for upgrading the standard of government administration, improve performance, increase productivity, and eventually bolster the exchange of knowledge in the field of government management and public policies by holding forums and knowledge conferences.

The school will issue academic degrees in public administration, non-academic certificates after conducting training courses in the fields pertaining to its objectives.

It will also be dedicated to build scientific cooperation with Arab, regional and international institutions specialised in the fields of government administration; publish research papers and studies in the fields related to public administration and other literature pertaining to its activities.

The school will set up a printing press and publishing house for publishing its literature and those of other entities.
