The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has called on private sector workers, who have lost their jobs, to contact the ministry to obtain a temporary work permit for three or six months, and later return to their original employers after the coronavirus crisis subsides.

The ministry has also urged private sector companies to not to lay off their staff or cut salaries without their consent, and instead avail consensual measures like granting the employees an unpaid leave.
Covid-19 has impacted jobs all over the world.
A UAE decree was issued last month to regulate the jobs and salaries of private sector enterprises.
