The third-ranked Englishman birdied the last hole to take a five-shot clubhouse lead at 11-under 133 on Friday, but that advantage was whittled down to two strokes as the lightning-delayed second round was completed on Saturday.

Myanmar’s Zaw Moe played out his last seven holes and finished with an eagle and two birdies for a 5-under 67 to close in on Westwood.

Japan’s Masanori Kobayashi was a further two strokes back in after carding a 4-under 68.

Kieran Pratt of Australia and Bernd Wiesberger were in joint fourth, followed by Shiv Kapur of India and South Korean Lee Sung.
